    Signing Bonuses for Hard-to-Fill Teaching Areas:

    • $7,000 signing bonus for Spanish, secondary English, secondary math teachers, secondary science teachers and K-12 special education teachers for a three-year commitment to Eufaula City Schools; $3,000 will be paid in August of the first year, $2,000 in August of the second year and $2,000 in August of the third year

    In the event that the individual resigns, retires or is terminated, the individual will be responsible for reimbursing the Board for a prorated portion of the signing bonus as follows: Separation in months 1-3 100% of signing bonus; Separation in months 4-6 75% of signing bonus; Separation in months 7-9 50% of signing bonus; Separation in months 10-12 25% of signing bonus

    • A supplement for speech teachers of $10,000 annually (Teacher must hold the proper certification.)
    • A signing bonus of $4,500 for all newly hired certified elementary teachers: $2,000 to be paid at the beginning of the first year, $1,500 in August of the second year, and $1,000 in August of the third year. First payment split: $1,000 be paid in July, and the remaining $1,000 to be paid in August. Also, there is a 13-month option for the first year of employment. A paycheck would be received in August; the employee’s salary is divided over 13 months for the first year instead of 12.  In the event that the individual resigns, retires or is terminated, the individual will be responsible for reimbursing the Board for a prorated portion of the signing bonus as follows: Separation in months 1-3 100% of signing bonus; Separation in months 4-6 75% of signing bonus; Separation in months 7-9 50% of signing bonus; Separation in months 10-12 25% of signing bonus.
    • Annual $6,000 supplement for existing and newly hired special education teachers, effective 2022-2023 school year

     Bus Driver Recruitment Incentive Plan:

    Bus drivers employed after July 1, 2013, are eligible to receive a recruitment incentive of $1,000.  The incentive will be paid to eligible bus drivers as follows: 

    • $500 will be paid upon employment by the Board of Education.
    • $500 will be paid in the payroll check following the 12-month anniversary of employment.
