Dr. Roshanda Lewis
Director of Federal Programs
Roshanda Lewis, a native of Lower Peachtree, Alabama, completed her bachelor's degree in elementary education at Alabama State University, her master's degree in educational administration, and an educational specialist degree in instructional leadership from the University of West Alabama. Dr. Lewis received her Doctor of Education in Rural Education from the University of West Alabama in 2024. She also received National Board Certification in 2008 and renewed her certification in 2017.
Dr. Lewis started her educational career teaching fourth grade in Killeen, Texas, and fifteen years in Wilcox County, Alabama, as a teacher, reading coach, assistant principal, and principal. She was an elementary principal in Demopolis, Alabama, for three years. Before being named director in May 2023, she was the principal of Eufaula Elementary School for four years.
Dr. Lewis is married to Rodney Lewis and has two daughters, Janiecia and Shantavia.

Mrs. Lorena Ponce
Parent Liaison
Lorena Ponce is a native of Chile. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design from the Universidad del Pacifico in Santiago, Chile, and a Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from Louisiana State University.
In 2020, Mrs. Ponce began working part-time at Eufaula City Schools as an EL Parent Liaison. In 2023, she began working full-time as a Parent Liaison.
Mrs. Ponce is married to Jesus Carmona, and they have three children - Beatriz, Emiliano, and Natalia.
