Admiral Moorer Middle School is determined to bring meaningful student-based school organizations, consisting of administration-approved organizations functioning with myriad tasks, varying on the specific purpose of each respective club.  Below you find a listing of the school's clubs and organizations and more information about each.

Seventh and Eighth-grade choral fees (which include materials, transportation, and registration for required choral events) are $35.00 plus a $50.00 choir outfit for a total of $85.00.

    National Junior Honor Society
    Grades: 7,8

Academic Requirements: Students are first eligible to join NJHS after completing the first semester of the seventh-grade year. Students who have a cumulative grade point average of 90 or higher are academically eligible. With their more difficult content, accelerated courses are weighted by adding points to the student's average for that class. Students must also display excellent citizenship. Offenses will be investigated by the Faculty Council.

Students who are academically eligible are invited to complete an application indicating their interest in and suitability for membership. The application will request information about the student's adherence to high standards of conduct, willingness to participate, and service to the community (through school organizations, civic groups, church groups, or other means). Eighth-grade students who did not qualify academically in seventh grade may apply to join the spring induction in eighth grade if they have met the standards. Students who transfer from another school will be eligible to apply if they have been at AMMS for at least one full semester or were recommended by their previous principal. At the discretion of the Faculty Council, an additional fall induction may be held during a regularly scheduled NJHS meeting in cases where a proximate disciplinary infraction has kept academically qualified candidates from being inducted during the spring assembly if the student had demonstrated exemplary behavior during the remainder of the spring semester.

Responsibilities: Members are expected to maintain academic and behavioral standards; pay nominal dues; attend monthly meetings; participate in service and fund-raising projects; participate in induction; and attend the annual banquet.

    Student Council
    Grades: 6,7,8

Each student and teacher will be split into one of four houses, or groups. Each group will have a house leader (who will serve as the president of that house). Each house will be responsible for doing a service project throughout the year. Students will earn points for their houses from teachers for positive actions in the classroom, hallways, lunchroom, or anywhere on campus. Students will also earn points for their houses by maintaining high grades, demonstrating great citizenship and showing a positive change in behavior and/or grades.
