Salary Starting at $17,500

Bus drivers employed after November 15, 2023, are eligible to receive a recruitment incentive of $3,000.  The incentive will be paid to eligible bus drivers as follows: 

• $1,000.00 to be paid at the time of hire in the first check
• $1,000.00 to be paid in month thirteen (13)
• $1,000.00 to be paid in month twenty-five (25)

1.   Obtain Class B CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements.

Testing is done on Wednesdays and Thursdays only in Eufaula. Call (334) 616-6826 for information. ($25 total for all four tests)

2.   Physical (Individual Physician or Urgent Care)-prices vary. (If you already have a current DOT physical, it is acceptable.)

After completing steps 1 and 2, please contact the transportation department by calling Andy Hinton or Joel Washington (numbers are listed above). Steps 3 through 10 will be completed at the transportation department with guidance from transportation department personnel.
